These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Youthfest.in website and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- User / you / your — any person who visits, registers, or uses the Service.
- Organizer / we / us — Sustainable Development Council (or the entity operating Youthfest.in) and authorized partners.
- Content — text, images, audio, video, files, event entries or other materials uploaded or posted through the Service.
2. Eligibility and Age
- Users must be at least 13 years old. Minors aged 13–18 may participate only with verifiable parental or guardian consent and subject to event-specific rules.
- By registering you represent that your information is accurate and you meet eligibility requirements.
3. Registration and Accounts
- Some features require registration. Provide accurate, current, and complete information and update when required.
- You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and all activity under your account.
- We may refuse registration or cancel accounts for breach, fraudulent activity, or other reasons.
4. Ticketing, Payments & Refunds
- Fees shown at checkout apply; applicable taxes and transaction charges may be added.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment processors and subject to their terms.
- Refund policy is provided on event pages and at checkout. Unless specified otherwise, refunds are at the Organizer’s discretion.
5. Code of Conduct
You agree to act respectfully and professionally. Prohibited conduct includes harassment, hate speech, threats, cheating, plagiarism, discrimination, and illegal activities. Violations may lead to removal, disqualification, or bans without refund.
6. Content: Submissions, Licensing & Moderation
- By submitting Content you grant the Organizer a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish and display the Content for promotional, educational, and operational purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- You warrant you own the rights to Content or have obtained necessary permissions from identifiable persons appearing in submissions.
- We may moderate, edit, remove, or refuse Content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.
7. Intellectual Property
All website materials (design, text, graphics, logos, software) are owned or licensed by the Organizer and protected by law. Do not copy or create derivative works without written permission.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal data. By using the Service you consent to our processing of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Services & Links
The Service may link to third-party websites. Those links do not imply endorsement and we are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Connecting third-party accounts grants us access according to the permissions you allow.
10. Liability, Disclaimers & Indemnity
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organizer and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer from claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, negligence, willful misconduct, or your Content.
11. Event-Specific Rules & Safety
Events may have additional rules (eligibility, safety protocols, vaccination/testing). Such rules will be published on event pages and form part of these Terms. You are responsible for complying with health, safety and travel requirements for in-person events.
12. Photography & Recording at Events
By attending in-person events you consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional/documentation purposes unless you provide written notice in advance and receive confirmation. Attendees’ independent recordings must respect privacy laws and these Terms.
13. Suspension, Termination & Remedies
We may suspend or terminate access for breach, fraud, or conduct harmful to the community. Termination does not relieve prior obligations including payments or indemnity requirements.
14. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or on the Site. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of updated Terms. The Effective date at the top reflects the latest update.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes should first be attempted to be resolved by negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in Chennai, India (or another location specified by the Organizer).
